Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Prevention and Care

Our Program

Our GBV Prevention and Care Cascade Program helps racialized women, including those from African, Caribbean, Black, Latin American, and South Asian communities. We focus on their specific risks and cultural needs for safe and supportive GBV services. This program ensures racialized women receive ongoing care for their health needs, not just immediate safety. We provide primary violence prevention activities and connect women aged 16 and older who are at risk or experiencing GBV to the care they need.

Services We Offer

- Safety Planning

- Case management

Talking about gender-based violence can be difficult—but starting the conversation is a powerful step ...

... towards awareness, prevention, and change.

WHIWH-CHC has developed a tool to help start this important conversation.

Shifting Social Norms is a collection of engaging conversation starter cards designed to initiate dialogues about community accountability, redefining masculinity, and challenging harmful norms. The goal is to share, listen, learn, and raise awareness about gender-based violence.
